Your carcass has deserted my nave for too long

Consumed by the shards and hollowed out for sure by sloth or inertia or idleness or torpor

And I can't watch it happen

As your lifetime has turned you into a fool

And you see my grace touch those lovely souls

Who were people who tried to help and uplift you

You just watched it happen

If you want to let go of my warmth and love

Confess that you are unbothered

If you want to not appreciate my world

Confess that you have always suffered

You have wasted moments that I can't return

You have thought of time to be an idea absurd

You needed life but it needed you more

And I couldn't watch it happen

I changed the seasons, people and their truths

Changed memories and moments and happiness and youth

And you just watched it happen

If you want to let go of my warmth and love

Confess that you are unbothered

If you want to not appreciate my world

Confess that you have always suffered

If the magic of my being could rekindle your life

Back to the moment in time

When you failed to be you

Too overwhelmed by my rules

And too scared to see the truths

And you didn't know what to do

So if I give you a second chance

Will you have something worthwhile be true

Will your heart regain all the red that it turned blue

Would it be simple to make it happen

That you walk down the path and never leave it stranded

It sounds good to me but can I force it?

But with you, it just didn't happen

If you want to let go of my warmth and love

Stay unbothered

If you want to not appreciate my world

Choose to suffer
